These terms govern the use of Crochet AI. They are a draft: a legal advisor will complete and review them before the public launch.
01The service
Crochet AI helps you reconstruct crochet patterns from the photos and information you provide, and supports you while you work.
02What the app produces, and what it doesn't
Patterns are reconstructions: a photo can't reliably reveal the original pattern. Every pattern states its verification level (L0–L3) and the assumptions made.
An L0 pattern is not validated. L1 means the counts are consistent according to a deterministic engine, not that the result resembles the original object. Yarn quantities and measurements are estimates given as ranges.
03Account
You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for what happens with your account.
04Free use and credits
Today the app is free and has no in-app purchases. AI operations use free monthly credits, which refill every month and do not accumulate. Any future plans will be optional and announced in advance, with separate terms.
05Your content
It stays yours. You grant us only the permissions needed to store and process it in order to provide the service. You must hold the rights to the images and PDF files you upload, or use them within the limits allowed by law.
06Third-party rights
Generating a pattern transfers no rights in the original design. Don't use the app to remove watermarks, pass off other people's designs as your own or distribute patterns derived from protected works without permission. Reports follow the procedure on the “Copyright & notices” page.
07Fair use
- Don't upload unlawful or offensive content, or photos of people without their consent.
- Don't try to get around limits, quotas or security measures.
- Don't use the service in an automated way without permission.
08Liability
Always check the pattern as you work, especially if it is a draft (L0). [Warranty and liability clauses: to be drafted in compliance with mandatory consumer rights.]
09Suspension and closure
You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
